It's been a tough few months for runners. Since March, the response to Coronavirus has caused a steady stream of race cancellations. From 5Ks to 10Ks, and all the way up to marathons, it has been week after week of seeing events that were hoped to go ahead being forced to cancel for safety reasons. Race entry isn't cheap, especially for marathons. However, occasionally, if we know where to look, we can find races that are surprisingly inexpensive. With the help of volunteers, generous sponsors and a bit of good fortune some race organisers are able to provide marathons that don't break the bank.
